Innovating and Simplifying the Collections Process
Things You Should Know

First and foremost, NDD is not a collection agency. The National Debt Database is where consumers can obtain information on who owns their debt. Allowing them to take action before they are contacted or the credit is potentially affected.

1. There is no requirement, law or rule requiring a debt be posted to a credit report.
2. There is no centralized system or way for you to find all of your unpaid debt that debt is required to be posted to.
3. Statue of limitations on debt is different in every state. While the severity of not paying your debt diminishes over time, it doesn't just disappear unless it is paid.
4. "Charged Off" means that your debt has been sold to a 3rd party Collection Agency; which means your debt is now owed to the collection agency that owns your debt.
5. There are hundreds of laws preventing and restricting how a collection agency is allowed to contact you about your debt. There are even laws that restrict how agencies are allowed to identify themselves. How are you expected to know what you owe and to whom?
NDD was founded to answer that question.

The National Debt Database was actually founded by a network of collection agencies. It answers the most common question by agency owners "How do we inform consumers that we own their debt without calling them or bothering them in any way?" At the same time, consumers continually don't pay defaulted bills because of common misconceptions. The primary one being if it isn't on your credit report, you don't owe it. Another issue which makes it difficult for responsible consumers that want to take care of their obligations is not being able to correctly identify who they should pay to resolve the matter for good.

Objective
The objective of NDD is to provide a simple way for consumers to know what debt they have and who to talk to about it. At the same time, making it possible for agencies to not contact you unless you ask to be contacted. NDD is the bridge of communication between consumers and collection agencies that provides a respectful, simple and professional method on the communication of debts. All the while, NDD remaining steadfast in protecting the rights of consumers and agencies.

So We are Clear
To be 100% clear, NDD has zero interest in getting you to pay your debt or disputing it. We DO NOT work for collection agencies. We DO NOT participate in the collection of debt. Honestly, we don't care if you pay your debt. The validity of the debt is a matter to be discussed the appropriate Collection Agency. National Debt Database was founded to provide a more clear and direct method for consumers and agencies to communicate as well as combating the many "fake truths" that drown out the realities of how debt collection works.
